Wintery weather has again overwhelmed this part of the country, and, true to form, my joints are aching! It's a common issue that anyone who was involved with sports or any other form of physical activity as a youth may encounter!
The weather changes and, suddenly, your joints rebel!
As for me, I wasn't particularly athletic, but hiking, interpretting for the Deaf, and a horseback riding accident have brought me the distinct joy of joint pain when the weather changes.
Prior to my healthy eating journey, I was quick to reach for Tylenol, Midol, and Ibuprofen when the joint pain ramped up. I grabbed Sudafed when my sinuses struggled with the changing of seasons.
Now, I have a healthier option that I can take as many times as I want, without the ugly side effects or damage to my liver!
Enter Turmeric! This incredible plant product is a champion when it comes to relieving inflammation, whether it is in your joint due to an injury or gout, or whether it is in your sinuses!
Yes, during cold and flu season, you better know I'm drinking a LOT of Turmeric Milk Chai!
Not only does this recipe use Turmeric, which radically decreases inflammation, but it also makes use of local honey, which fights our allergic response to pollen and other allergens in the area!
For a cold or flu, incorporate Turmeric into your day! Try this anti-inflammatory chai!
For joint paint or any other type of inflammation, incorporate Turmeric!
You'll be so glad you did!
